Engaging in yoga yields a multitude of physical and mental advantages, such as enhanced flexibility, strength, and balance. Additionally, it contribute/s to stress and anxiety reduction, promotes improved sleep, and fosters overall well-being and health.
I welcome students of all experience levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Modifications and variations to make each class accessible to all.
My classes extend for a duration of 75 minutes, providing ample time for a unhurried and relaxed experience.
Yoga is inclusive and welcoming to practitioners of all levels of flexibility. It's not about how flexible you are when you start; rather, it's a journey to improve flexibility, strength, and overall well-being over time. The essence of yoga lies in meeting yourself where you are.
You do not need to bring your own yoga mat to attend the class. I provide mats, blocks, and straps for your convenience. I encourage everyone to explore and experience yoga without any immediate pressure to purchase their own equipment. Once you've established that yoga is a practice you'd like to pursue regularly, it would be a great time to consider investing in your personal gear. For now, feel free to come as you are, and I look forward to sharing the practice with you!
In the sacred space of yoga, your journey is honored and respected just as it is, as is your body. It's natural to feel self-conscious about our bodies, but let this practice be a sanctuary where self-love and acceptance can flourish.
Yoga invites us to connect with ourselves on a deeper level, beyond the external layers. Consider your body not as an object of judgment, but as a vessel of your unique spirit and life force. Embrace each breath as a reminder of your vitality and the opportunity for self-discovery.
Our yoga community values flexibility in more ways than one. Drop-in classes are available, allowing you the freedom to attend whenever it suits your schedule. Whether it's once a month or multiple times a week, there's no need for a significant commitment. The space is open to you whenever you feel the need to join. Your presence is always welcomed, and we're here to support your well-being on your own terms.
Yes Men are welcome, it may seem that Yoga is dominated by women but in reality that couldnt be further from the truth. Some of the most impactful practitioners have been men such as B.K.S Iyengar.
Peace, presence, improved mobility & flexibity isn't limited to women.
Choose comfortable and flexible attire for yoga practice. Keep clothing breathable and minimal to allow for easy movement. Keep in mind the temperature of the studio and, if needed, layer with breathable clothing. The key is to prioritize comfort, flexibility, and minimal distractions during your yoga practice. If you have long hair, it's helpful to have it tied back to keep it out of your face during your practice.
Most yoga is practiced barefoot, but if you prefer some grip or have hygiene concerns, you can wear non-slip yoga socks.
You are more than welcome to arrive 10 mins before class so I can talk you through what to expect and find you a spot in the room where you feel comfortable.
I also provide one to one sessions which can expand your knowledge and confidence to one day enable you to take part in a group environment.
As a person who has previously suffered from anxiety for over 15 years I know how you feel, i'm here to support your journey in any way I can.
